[TV] Dexter

There are no secrets in life. Just hidden truths that lie beneath the surface.

A few days ago, one of my best friends Tomás told me about this show on an SMS. He asked me to download the two seasons for him. He still lives in Bariloche, my hometown.

One or two months ago Fox covered the city with “Wanted” pictures of Dexter to promote the show, but they didn’t get my attention. I had to see them on the subway every day and… “Yeah, another TV show about a guy that deals with crime“. How little did I know!

Based on Jeff Lindsay’s novels Darkly Dreaming Dexter and Dearly Devoted Dexter this crime thriller follows Dexter Morgan. Dexter is a forensic blood spatter expert for the Miami Dade Police Department. He is the main support for his sister. He has a steady girlfriend, with two kids who adore him. He also has an active “night life”. Based on a code instilled in him by his foster father, Harry, he hunts down people who have escaped justice and makes sure they don’t get away with a crime again.

Last night I decided to watch a couple of episodes that finished downloading during the day. I was quite impressed by how addictive it turned to be… It was almost 2 am and I had to watch that second episode!

I recommend it to anyone who’s into CSI, Bones, or any of those crime scene/science/murder series. It has an outstanding production (or should I say post-production?) making it look like an actual film separated in episodes.
